Adam Goldberg, LMHC

I hold a master’s degree in clinical services psychology and a master’s degree in mental health counseling.

I have experience with clients with

depression, generalized and social anxiety, substance abuse/addiction, individuals who have been physically abused, and a range of other situations and conditions. I’ve worked with people

from adolescent-aged to late-stage adulthood.

One of the most important aspects of therapy for me is meeting you where you are at. This means addressing what is troubling you specifically, whether it be unresolved issues from the past, challenges of the present, or addressing how to become the best version of yourself in the future as you envision it. I hope to work together with individuals to help guide them along a path towards a life and self they can enjoy and understand.

Thomas Cardoso, MHC-Intern

Hi!, My name is Thomas. I'm currently finishing up my Masters in Clinical Mental Health counseling with Capella University. My Bachelor’s was in psychology from Stony Brook University. I have a history of working with adults, both in residential and clinical settings, who suffer from severe and persistent mental health concerns, such as mood disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. I have a strong belief that everyone has the ability to thrive, and it is my responsibility to help individuals recognize the skills and strengths they already possess to help reach that end. My goal is to not focus on problems and instead direct attention to strengths and solutions.
I aim to create a warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and willing to be open and honest. I incorporate several therapeutic strategies into my sessions including those of CBT, DBT, solution-focused, and choice theories to help provide the most well-rounded care.
