Hello! My name is Diana, and I am a Mental Health Counselor- LP.
When working with clients it is important to understand that each client is unique, and each client has their own story and their own journey. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My therapeutic approach is to meet you where you're at, work together to determine what best meets your needs, and to collaboratively create a plan that helps you achieve your goals. I will strive to create an environment that encourages you to explore & understand your thoughts and feelings. I also help individuals understand their personal journey and assist in developing tools for rediscovering one's strengths & fostering growth. We'll work on how to learn and unlearn behaviors, habits and thought patterns that can impact our mental health and ability to cope with challenges.
My experience includes working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families of all backgrounds and walks of life. I have helped clients work through their mental health and life challenges. I use an integrative, person-centered approach that pulls from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic practices. Together we will approach life's inevitable demands, challenges, and frustrations by gaining skills to cope with various issues at hand.
My name is Alexa, and I am a Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP). I graduated with my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University. I have experience working with young children, adolescents, teens, adults, and families, and have worked in both medical offices and school settings.
I have experience working with individuals struggling with Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Adjustment Disorders, Trauma, Life Transitions and many other mental health concerns. I like to utilize different approaches to therapy, because I believe therapy is not “one size fits all.” I believe therapy depends on the client and their needs. I like to use CBT, psychodynamic, and mindfulness, as well as a person-centered approach to help clients meet their goals. I work collaboratively with the client in order to help them understand their experiences, develop positive coping skills, and improve their emotional well-being.
My goal is to provide a safe space for individuals to share their thoughts, know their self-worth, and to help them live an overall positive life.
I am a Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP) with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, dedicated to providing compassionate support for individuals of all ages, spanning diverse life experiences.
